(LOT #107) 1909-11 T206 Piedmont Walter Johnson (Yellow Portrait) SGC 60

One of the key HOF Portrait cards from the T206 White Border series.  Here is Walter Johnson with absolutely perfect centering.  The card is 100% clean front and back.  Only because of minimal corner wear did the card receive the EX grade.  An outstanding specimen with wonderful print clarity displaying Walter Johnson in Washington uniform silhouette on a yellow background.

From the SGC Population Report - out of a total of 103 examples graded of both of the Walter Johnson poses, there are 7 cards that grade higher than an SGC 60.  There is no way to distinguish how many of the 7 were the Yellow Portrait variation.  This card stands out as one of the higher graded examples of Walter Johnson.
