(LOT #148) 1911 E94 George Close Candy Hans Lobert SGC 50

When John Lobert came to the major leagues in 1906, he played with Pittsburgh Pirates teammate Honus Wagner.  At that time Honus Wagner gave John Lobert the nickname of "Hans" which he carried with him throughout his career. 

Of the 27 examples of Lobert that SGC has graded including all color variations, there are none that grade higher than an SGC 50.  This card has the sought after purple background.  Minimal even corner wear with a clean back.  An outstanding card that could possibly be considered EX condition.
